Success is achieved when multi disciplines, including architecture building physics and structural design, fully merge into an optimum sustainable design, based on the minimisation of material use and the application of biobased solutions.
In my work, I focus on developing efficient, elegant, and material-conscious structures, continuously seeking the optimal balance between form, function, and sustainability. Timber and other biobased materials play an increasingly important role in this, as part of a broader transition towards a circular and climate-neutral construction industry.
My approach is characterised by the integration of research, education, and design. I work on lightweight and intelligent structural systems in which optimisation, buildability, and reusability go hand in hand with spatial quality. I see structural design not as a separate technical discipline, but as a creative and guiding part of the total design process.
What drives me is the translation of new knowledge into applicable solutions and the education of a new generation of designers who see structure as a source of innovation, quality, and sustainability in the built environment.
