On Friday the 27th of February, the annual VHC TU/e Research Day took place at Eindhoven University of Technology – this time in ‘De Zwarte Doos’. It was an inspiring afternoon in which graduates presented their latest research results in the field of timber constructions.
From robotically manufactured trusses with glued wood joints to insights into CLT damping behaviour, the optimisation of CLT floors and innovative CLT concrete floor concepts: the presentations clearly showed how research contributes to a more sustainable and smarter construction sector.
In addition to the sessions, there was plenty of room for questions, discussion and meeting between researchers, students and professionals from the field.
The day ended with a pleasant drink with buffet, also in De Zwarte Doos, where there was plenty of chatting and networking.
