Normal timber floors can be designed on comfort requirements according to the Eurocode standards. But for some types of buildings more strict requirements are required, like floors that have to comply to VC-A vibration criteria in laboratories. This is hard to achieve for timber floors. This research is aimed to find possible new solutions for timber floors that comply to VC-A criteria. The research will predominantly be based on a numerical approach, although experimental tests may be needed.
