In current practice we see softwood structural timber elements like CLT floors and walls protruding the facades. What happens to these CLT walls or floors that link the exterior conditions with a dry inside environment? Does it have an effect on air or moisture tranport? How durable is this design? The research can be conducted by performing experiments on test samples, by evaluating existing examples, by numerical approach or by a combination of these methods.
